    Sandi Hotel marks 60 years of a story intertwined with Paraty

     Sandi Hotel celebrates 60 years in Paraty, spanning four generations, a restored Historic Center property, and expanded experiences and gastronomy.

     

     In 2026, Paraty marks 60 years of a family story connected to Sandi Hotel. In this way, four generations highlight a trajectory built as a long-term bond with the city.

     

     The story began in 1966, when the Foz family first visited Paraty through the influence of Jamil, Amir Klink’s father. That same year, Joviro Foz acquired the Sítio Bom Jardim property.

      

    From Bom Jardim to the Historic Center

     

     In the following decade, the relationship with the territory deepened and culminated in the marriage of Sandra and Alexandre Adamiu in 1980. As a result, the union brought together two family lines tied to Paraty.

     

     In 1983, the boat house was built at Bom Jardim, later becoming Loft Bom Jardim. Next, the following year, Sandra and Alex acquired a townhouse and neighboring buildings in Paraty’s Historic Center.

     

     The purchase launched the project that would become Pousada do Sandi. In this way, the initiative moved forward through a restoration process that took six years.

      

    Opening, recognition, and local impact

     

     After the restoration, the colonial house opened in 1991. Next, the property quickly became a reference in the city.

     

     In 1992, the inn joined Roteiros de Charme. In addition, in 1993, it became part of Paraty’s image abroad through films by Paris Filmes, according to the statement.

     

     From that period on, the family says its presence became a driver of tourism and culture on the Costa Verde. As a result, the project also connected with social initiatives and the creative economy.

      

    Growth and new projects

     

     In 2010, Bom Jardim’s former guesthouse was renovated and turned into Loft Bom Jardim. However, in 2018, expansion in the Historic Center accelerated with the purchase of neighboring properties and the opening of Miracolo Gelateria.

     

     In 2019, the integration of the Itucupe property expanded Bom Jardim’s natural perimeter. Next, in 2020, the inn entered a new redesign cycle and launched Néctar, an experiences operator connected to the territory.

     

     In 2021, Villa das Bromélias was introduced as a contemporary hospitality proposal within Sandi Hotel. After the pandemic, the property was repositioned as a super-luxury product, according to the text.

     

     The Villa added an infinity-edge pool integrated into the garden and a gourmet kiosk. In this way, the space expanded its focus to high-end events such as birthdays, intimate celebrations, outdoor weddings, and customized experiences.

      

    Gastronomy and the “Quadrado Mágico” ecosystem

     

     In 2022, Pupus opened with an authorial kitchen celebrating Atlantic Forest ingredients. Next, in 2023, Fugu debuted, described as the Historic Center’s first izakaya.

     

     The period also consolidated the Quadrado Mágico concept, an ecosystem that integrates art, gastronomy, wellness, and cultural experiences. In addition, in 2024, Quadrado Mágico incorporated Shambhala Spa, Flydog, and Galeria Ao Quadrado.

      

    Investment and legacy in Paraty

     

     The family reports more than 50 million reais invested in tourism and heritage preservation. As a result, it also cites local team training, support for sociocultural projects, and the consolidation of a hospitality model.

     

     Paraty is recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site in the mixed site category. However, the statement points to biodiversity, caiçara culture, and a preserved Historic Center as key strengths of the destination.

     

     In 2026, as it celebrates 60 years since Bom Jardim, the family says it renews its commitment to Paraty. Finally, it reinforces the principle that tourism is sustained by human bonds.
