Explora Journeys’ new Explora Club Referral Program rewards members and new guests with bonus credits and points on luxury ocean journeys.
Loyalty boosted with referrals
Luxury ocean travel brand Explora Journeys, part of the MSC Group, has launched the Explora Club Referral Program. The initiative is designed to recognize and reward loyal members by allowing them to invite friends and family to discover the brand. In doing so, it strengthens a growing community of like-minded travelers.
Since its launch in April 2025, the Explora Club has proven popular among guests. Members already enjoy privileges such as early access to new itineraries, special gifts and surprises, pre-voyage services and exclusive onboard events. The new referral scheme builds on feedback from guests who have been sailing with Explora Journeys over the past dois anos.
The program extends additional benefits not only to existing members, but also to those who accept an invitation to join the Explora Club. It underlines the brand’s commitment to continuous innovation in luxury travel. At the same time, it reinforces Explora Journeys’ positioning as a leader in refined ocean experiences.

How the Explora Club Referral Program works
With the new program, registered Explora Club members can invite up to 10 new guests per year to discover the brand’s immersive journeys. Referred guests must be completely new to Explora Journeys cruises and enroll in the club. Only then can they access the full list of benefits.
Each referred guest receives 200 bonus credits to use on their first booking, plus 500 Explora Club points awarded after the voyage. The referring member also earns 200 credits once the guest sails, and an additional 500 points when the journey ends. In this way, the program rewards both sides of the relationship.
As points accumulate, members move up through the Explora Club tiers, from Classic to Silver, Gold and Platinum, up to the top Diamond level. Each step unlocks further rewards and exclusive privileges. The structure is designed to encourage repeat travel and deepen loyalty.
Status match and shared journeys
New members can also request status matching from eligible cruise loyalty programs. This allows them to enjoy an equivalent level of recognition with Explora Journeys from their first booking. It is an additional incentive for experienced cruisers to discover the brand.
The referral concept also encourages guests to sail together and create shared memories. From diverse destinations and curated onboard experiences to peaceful moments at sea, the program reflects the “Ocean State of Mind” philosophy. Sunrises, ever-changing horizons and star-filled nights are part of this shared journey.

Between 2023 and 2028, Explora Journeys will introduce a fleet of six luxury ships. EXPLORA I and EXPLORA II feature 461 ocean-view suites, penthouses and residences designed as “homes at sea”, all with private terraces. The ships also offer four pools, 64 private cabanas on outdoor decks and generous open-air areas inspired by European seaside elegance. EXPLORA I was delivered in July 2023, followed by EXPLORA II in September 2024. EXPLORA III and EXPLORA IV, both LNG-powered, are scheduled for 2026 and 2027, while EXPLORA V and EXPLORA VI are planned for 2027 and 2028.
