Maceió on the rise
With crystal-clear seas and warm hospitality, Maceió (AL) enters a renewed, must-visit phase. Moreover, new attractions strengthen the city as a wellness oasis for travelers.
For summer 2025/2026, the highlight is the Sais Beach Living Hotel on Pajuçara Beach. This upscale property blends exclusive services, comfort and authentic local culture.
Sais Beach Living Hotel
Inspired by wellness, the hotel features seafront pools, green lounges and a 360° rooftop. Thus, guests enjoy sunrise and sunset over Pajuçara and Ponta Verde.
The opening reinforces Alagoas among top Northeast destinations. In 2024, there were 348,000 domestic visitors (+16% vs. 2023), per IBGE’s PNAD Contínua: Turismo.
Five unmissable updates
1. Ferris wheel (45 m) — With 20 air-conditioned cabins, wi-fi and selectable soundtrack, each ride lasts about 18 minutes. The area offers a themed store, Instagram spots and food stations. Capacity: 1,300 people/day.
2. Porto Seafront — Revitalization between Jaraguá and Pajuçara (1.5 km) advances with boardwalk, jogging lane, bike path, four overlooks and LED lighting. Next come modern furniture, plazas, playground and outdoor gym.
3. New restaurants — Coco Bambu opens its first unit in Maceió with seafood staples like grilled lobster and Ceará-style moqueca. Madero also debuts, featuring gourmet burgers, grills and salads.
4. Free Bus — Maceió Shopping runs a free transfer linking the mall to 30+ hotels in Cruz das Almas, Ponta Verde and Pajuçara. The bus carries up to 50 passengers.
5. Sais Beach Living Hotel — There are three pools: a semi-olympic, a Wellness floor pool for relaxation, and a rooftop pool with live music and signature drinks. Sunloungers, umbrellas and quality furniture ensure comfort.
The Sais kitchen is curated by chef Wanderson Medeiros (Picuí). The main restaurant highlights regional ingredients, small producers and sustainable practices with international techniques.
