Potências! Awards 2025 celebrates artists like Seu Jorge, Liniker and Bella Campos and honors Péricles in a night of Black protagonism.
The fifth edition of the Potências! Awards 2025 honored leading figures from Brazilian culture, music, communication and contemporary Black narratives. Among the winners were Seu Jorge, Lucas Leto, Gaby Amarantos, Liniker and Bella Campos, in a ceremony held at Sala São Paulo that brought together artists, creators and cultural leaders.
Celebrating the Black voice
Under the theme “Celebrating the Black voice”, the event highlighted creativity, aesthetics, communication and innovation as powerful expressions of contemporary Black culture. A special tribute was paid to singer Péricles, celebrating 40 years of career and symbolizing the strength and ancestry of Black music in Brazil.
“Receiving this tribute means a lot to me. Music has always been my path, but also the way I honor those who came before and open space for those who are arriving. Being recognized by an award that celebrates the strength of our Black community is truly special. It reminds us that our voice matters and that we continue to build and occupy new spaces. I am happy to be part of this story.”
Impact and representation
According to Julio Beltrão, CEO and creator of Potências!, the award strengthens networks and expands opportunities by recognizing Black professionals and artists and reinforcing new cultural references.
The event honored talents in 13 categories, highlighting winners such as Ajuliacosta, Lucas Leto, Seu Jorge, Bella Campos, Gilberto Gil, Liniker and Jota.pê, among other key voices in the creative industry.
Event structure and reach
The ceremony featured performances by artists including Péricles, Rael, JotaPê, Karol Conká, Duquesa, Jude Paula and Kenan and Kel. Hosted by João Pimenta and Rita Batista, the event was broadcast across multiple platforms, expanding its national reach.
With a record number of partner brands, the Potências! Awards reinforced its status as one of Brazil’s most relevant cultural events, strengthening the visibility and appreciation of Black culture.
