Skylab launches a full Christmas Eve dinner with an exclusive menu and a view of Copacabana.
The Skylab restaurant, located on the rooftop of Rio Othon Palace, presents its Christmas Eve Dinner on December 24. The evening offers a memorable gastronomic experience with a festive atmosphere and a stunning view of Copacabana Beach.
From 8 p.m. to 1 a.m., guests enjoy a menu signed by chef Rubens Gonçalo, who blends classic holiday dishes with contemporary culinary techniques. The proposal enhances tradition while delivering a refined dining experience.
Starters and antipasti
The evening begins with a selection of irresistible starters. Highlights include curated cheeses and cold cuts, Tender with tropical fruit sauce, Beef carpaccio with arugula and parmesan, and Mini cod and leek puff pastries. The Chef’s Antipasti complete the table with marinated vegetables.
In the salads section, freshness and color guide the combinations. Options such as Caprese salad, Chickpea with cod, Shrimp Caesar, Quinoa with vegetables and truffle oil, Waldorf salad and a Moroccan couscous tabbouleh bring variety to the buffet.
Main courses and sides
The main dishes balance tradition and sophistication. The menu features Gratin cod with garlic confit, Christmas chester with apricot sauce, Filet mignon in Port wine, Grilled salmon with lemon beurre blanc and Shrimp risotto.
The sides include almond and raisin rice, creamy gratin potatoes, Christmas farofa with dried fruits and bacon and roasted vegetables with herb crust. Each preparation highlights technique and respect for the season.
Dessert selection
Skylab offers a special dessert station to end the celebration. Rabanadas with dulce de leche syrup, Chocolate and red fruit Yule log, Apple and caramel tart, Coconut panna cotta with passion fruit and Belgian chocolate mousse are among the choices.
Beverages — including wines, sparkling wines, beers and water — are available à la carte, allowing custom pairings throughout the night.

Children up to 7 years old are complimentary. Those aged 7 to 12 pay half price, and from 12 onward, the full rate applies. The night promises elegance, fine dining and an unforgettable view of Rio.
