Asia Shipping, Latin America’s leading logistics integrator, held the 5th edition of Perxpectivas Comex 2026 on Wednesday, November 12. The flagship event of Brazilian foreign trade attracted 600 in-person attendees and 1,000 online participants, offering a platform for networking, discussions, and strategic insights on international trade, economic trends, and geopolitical developments.

The program featured prominent figures such as economist Ricardo Amorim, political scientist Professor HOC, and multi-champion coach Bernardinho, alongside top executives from the logistics and port sectors. Alexandre Pimenta, CEO of Asia Shipping, emphasized the event’s role in connecting thought leaders and industry professionals.
“Perxpectivas is a space for dialogue between those who think and those who act in foreign trade. Each edition reinforces our mission to inspire, share knowledge, and connect people. “Brazil possesses unique advantages, including abundant clean energy, natural resources, agricultural production, and a strategic geographic location. These factors position the country favorably within new global value chains. The challenge is to maintain a neutral, strategic stance focused on long-term gains,” he stated.

Ricardo Amorim addressed the global economic context and its implications for Brazil, noting that lower interest rates, a favorable currency, and more competitive freight conditions could drive continued growth in 2026. He emphasized that the impact of U.S. tariffs on Brazilian exports would likely remain below 0.6% of GDP, while domestic tax reforms are expected to revitalize stagnant industries.

The Comex Panel, moderated by journalist Fabiana Panachão, brought together Washington Flores (Bandeirantes Deicmar), Felipe Fioravanti (Porto Itapoá), Adriano Merigli (JCB Latin America), and Paulo Souza (Guarulhos Airport).
