Lafayette Gourmet spotlights exclusive Easter creations by chefs such as Alain Ducasse, Pierre Hermé, and Jean-Paul Hévin in Paris.

Galeries Lafayette is bringing Easter forward with a curated selection of chocolates made for the season. In addition, window displays and pop-ups expand the in-store experience in Paris.

Starting in March, Lafayette Gourmet becomes the setting for an Easter egg hunt theme. In this way, edible sculptures shaped like hens, chicks, and rabbits highlight refined techniques and premium ingredients.

    Chefs and iconic patisseries

The lineup includes acclaimed names such as Alain Ducasse, Jean-Paul Hévin, Pierre Hermé, and Yann Couvreu. Meanwhile, historic French patisserie houses also sign exclusive creations for the store.

Participating brands include Ladurée, L’Éclair de Génie, Pierre Marcolini, Philippe Conticini, Louis Fouquet, and Yann Couvreur. Therefore, the selection reinforces the spirit of the holiday.

    Highlights from the Easter selection

Julien Dugourd’s “La Ruche” egg draws inspiration from honey produced by urban hives at Mandarin Oriental Paris. However, the recipe balances honey caramel with hazelnut praline and the precise crunch of caramelized hazelnuts.

The creation is available at the Julien Dugourd by Mandarin Oriental pop-up from March 11 to April 29. Next, other limited seasonal pieces remain available across the program.

Vincent Salur pays tribute to Parisian architecture with the “Coupole Galeries Lafayette” egg. In this way, chocolate recreates the stained-glass effect of the Haussmann dome, with a miniature Lafayette Gourmet inside.

The “Coupole Galeries Lafayette” egg is on sale until April 6. In addition, the assortment spans different cocoa intensities and textures.

Alain Ducasse takes a graphic approach with the Tablette Poussin, a dark chocolate bar decorated with chicks. On the other hand, the filling combines almond and hazelnut praline with peanuts and caramel, finished with a subtle salty note.

Jean-Paul Hévin plays with contrasts in his chick-in-egg creation. Thus, milk chocolate surrounds a dark chocolate egg filled with sprinkles and small praline eggs.

Yannick Alléno closes the selection with Toque de Ouro. Therefore, he pairs milk chocolate with toasted barley, with small confections inside that bring cereal and popcorn notes.

    Season concept at the store

At Galeries Lafayette, Easter is presented as an exercise in style. In this way, the program favors interpretation and creativity over literal tradition.

The official egg hunt celebration is scheduled for April 5. Finally, the store invites visitors to taste, observe, and choose among the seasonal creations.
