Bioderma launches Sensibio AR+ Micellar Gel, a gel version of its micellar water for sensitized, reactive skin prone to redness, with no-rinse cleansing.

Bioderma, the French dermocosmetics brand from the NAOS Group, has expanded its Sensibio portfolio in Brazil. The company introduced Sensibio AR+ Micellar Gel to the local market. In addition, the launch is described as the brand’s first micellar water in a gel format.

According to Bioderma, the product can reduce skin temperature by up to \(1^\circ C\). The goal is to deliver a new cleansing experience for sensitized skin. Therefore, the release targets sensitive, reactive skin that is prone to redness.

A gel texture designed to reduce friction

Launched in 1995, Sensibio H2O was positioned as the first micellar water on the market. Now, the new gel version aims to address the needs of sensitive-skin consumers. Next, the brand highlights lower friction, better yield, and an immediate refreshing feel.

The main differentiator is a friction-reducing gel texture. The concept is to limit mechanical contact during cleansing. This way, the product is positioned to help minimize stinging, discomfort, and redness from the first touch.

    Technologies and what it removes

The formula combines Micellar Technology, positioned to cleanse while respecting the skin’s natural balance. It also includes Rosactiv™ 2.0, linked to strengthening the skin barrier and helping prevent irritation. In addition, the brand says the gel is enriched with soothing actives.

Sensibio AR+ Micellar Gel is presented as able to remove makeup, including waterproof products, as well as sunscreen. It is also positioned for removing pollution, pollen, and impurities. Therefore, Bioderma says it requires no rinsing and respects skin integrity.

“Bioderma invented micellar technology and is a global reference in dermatological care for sensitive skin. By introducing the first micellar water in a gel version, we reaffirm our scientific leadership and our expertise in developing high-tolerance solutions for all skin types, including sensitized, reactive skin prone to redness. This launch translates our ongoing commitment to advancing cosmetic dermatology, combining cutting-edge innovation, proven efficacy, and absolute respect for skin biology,” says Juliana Valeriano, Marketing Director at NAOS Group Brazil.

    Price, availability, and indication

Dermatologically tested, the product is indicated for sensitized, reactive skin prone to redness. The brand positions it as a way to personalize the first step of a skincare routine. Thus, it expands Sensibio’s cleansing portfolio.

The suggested price is \(R\$ 125.90\). According to the company, the product is already available exclusively at Droga Raia. In addition, it will roll out to other partner retailers from April.

    About Bioderma and NAOS

Bioderma is a NAOS brand and states it has served skin biology for 40 years. The company says its innovations have contributed to dermatological discoveries. Therefore, it reinforces a focus on caring for and preserving the skin ecosystem.

According to the company, NAOS is a pioneer in ecobiology, an approach that respects the skin’s ecosystems. In addition, the group defines ecobiology as working in line with skin biology. Finally, the brand frames its mission as supporting naturally healthy skin over time.
