Céu brings “Céu 20 anos” to São Paulo for a one-night show on Jan. 23 at Audio, revisiting the 2005 debut album’s repertoire.
After special nights at Circo Voador in Rio de Janeiro and Sesc Palladium’s main theater in Belo Horizonte, Céu continues her “Céu 20 anos” shows. The next stop is São Paulo. The one-night performance takes place on Friday, January 23, at Audio.
The return to the album also aligns with the release of a vinyl edition. The record will be issued for the first time with all tracks included. In this way, the anniversary gains an additional release milestone.
A landmark debut
Released in 2005, the self-titled album “Céu” introduced a distinctive new artist. The project boldly blended MPB, trip hop, urban sounds, and soul. Moreover, it became a turning point in Brazil’s contemporary music scene.
With an unmistakable voice and an innovative sound, Céu quickly drew attention from audiences and critics. The album earned her first Grammy and Latin Grammy nominations. Therefore, it established her as a key revelation of her generation.
The record was also the first Brazilian release on the U.S. label Starbucks Hear Music. That step boosted her international visibility. Next, it helped open the door to tours around the world.
Career path and a renewed setlist
