Casa Horto continues P’Alma Sessions in January with Feyjão, Rocket Man & Friends, Suricato and Danni Carlos in Rio’s Jardim Botânico.
Casa Horto is continuing its P’Alma Sessions season. The series features intimate pocket shows at P’Alma, the venue’s gastrobar. In addition, the space sits near Christ the Redeemer and is surrounded by Jardim Botânico greenery.
In January, the project welcomes notable Brazilian music acts. As a result, guests can pair live performances with Casa Horto’s dining experience. Meanwhile, the schedule highlights different styles across the month.
Feyjão in the afternoon
On January 18 and 25, at 5 p.m., Feyjão takes the stage. The singer, songwriter and cultural producer moves between samba, MPB and pop. Next, the set blends Brazilian classics with originals such as “Reza”, made famous by Maria Rita.
Feyjão has also worked with artists including Thiaguinho, Natiruts and Marcelo D2. Therefore, he promises high-energy afternoons that celebrate Brazilian identity. On the other hand, his showtime differs from the rest of the month.
Rocket Man & Friends and Suricato
On January 20 and 27, at 8 p.m., singer and pianist Rafa Direito brings Rocket Man & Friends to Casa Horto. The project draws inspiration from Elton John classics and major international pop and rock hits. In this way, the show leans on bold reinterpretations and special guests.
On January 22, also at 8 p.m., Rodrigo Suricato performs. A 2016 Latin Grammy winner, he fronts the SURICATO project. In addition, he has been part of Barão Vermelho since 2017.
Danni Carlos closes the month
The month ends on January 29, at 8 p.m., with Danni Carlos and her show “On The Rocks.” Next, the setlist features career hits and songs from the albums Livre and Música Nova, which was nominated for a Latin Grammy.
The repertoire also includes songs from Rock ’N Road, credited with three Gold Records and one Gold DVD. As a result, the night blends rock, pop and emotion with a full band. Finally, the event reinforces the sessions’ experience-driven format.
