Rio Réveillon 2026 claims world’s largest New Year’s event with 19 fireworks barges and 70 acts across 13 city stages.
Record fireworks at Copacabana
Organized by Rio de Janeiro City Hall through Riotur, Rio Réveillon 2026 celebrates the future with unique attractions. Copacabana beach will feature nearly double the pyrotechnic barges, totaling 19 units. Thus, it delivers the biggest fireworks display in city history.
Over 70 musical acts energize 13 stages across neighborhoods. Brazilian music stars headline the lineup. Moreover, the event cements Rio’s status as the global New Year’s capital.
Top acts at Copacabana
At Rio Stage opposite Copacabana Palace, Gilberto Gil with special guest Ney Matogrosso, Belo and Alcione, João Gomes featuring Iza, and Alok perform. DJ Cady opens, G.R.E.S Beija-Flor closes. Amstel Samba Stage hosts Roberta Sá, Mart’nália, Diogo Nogueira and Feyjão with Bloco da Preta. DJ Tamy starts, G.R.E.S Grande Rio ends.
Diverse stages feature gospel at Leme with Midian Lima, Samuel Messias, Thalles Roberto and Grupo Marcados. Flamengo brings Joanna, Moacyr Luz and Raul Seixas tribute. In this way, each area pulses with local vibe.
Organizers’ statements
“Rio’s Réveillon is one of the world’s biggest celebrations, and this year we prepared a program worthy of this city symbol. We will have 13 stages across various points. We gather renowned artists representing our music’s diversity and energy.”, states Bernardo Fellows, Riotur president.
SRCOM produces the event for the 18th year, led by Sheila Roza, Abel Gomes, Paulo César Ferreira and Nelson Adão. Highlights include a 1200-drone show and special soundtrack for fireworks. On the other hand, ESG practices cover waste management and accessibility.
