     Fairmont Rio and Tropìk Beach Club ring in 2026 with signature menus, exclusive parties and front-row views of Copacabana’s fireworks.

      

    Luxury stay and postcard views

     

     Watching the world’s most famous New Year’s fireworks becomes an even more memorable experience at the Fairmont Rio Copacabana. Between the sophisticated atmosphere of Marine Restô and the barefoot vibe of Tropìk Beach Club, New Year’s Eve 2026 promises an unforgettable night. High-end cuisine, a breathtaking view and Rio’s contagious spirit set the tone.

     

     Perched on one of Copacabana’s most privileged spots, Fairmont Rio is a five-star hospitality icon. Its contemporary architecture and warm atmosphere balance international luxury with the lightness of the carioca lifestyle. As a result, the hotel has become synonymous with memorable stays, from refined décor to personalized service.

      

    Rooms, spa and infinity pool

     

     Guests wishing to start the year in comfort and privacy find several room categories at Fairmont. Deluxe Rooms feature balconies overlooking the sea, while Gold Suites include private check-in, access to the Gold Lounge and Gold Solarium. This allows for quiet moments of rest and contemplation before the party.

     

     During the day, Fairmont Spa offers rituals inspired by Brazilian nature, focused on balance and renewal. The Infinity Pool frames the iconic Copacabana shoreline, creating the perfect setting for a daytime toast. Thus, the hotel doubles as a full retreat to relax and recharge.

      

    Five-course New Year’s dinner at Marine Restô

     

     New Year’s Eve at Marine Restô starts at 8 p.m. with a five-course dinner by executive chef Jérôme Dardillac. True to his signature style, he blends French techniques with Brazilian tropical flavors. Dishes stand out for their freshness, textures and balance, served in a space open to the ocean view.

     

     On this special night, the hotel’s sixth floor turns into a grand terrace. Tables circle the iconic infinity pool, with direct views of Copacabana Beach and the fireworks display. Each course pairs with the festive mood, from the welcome toast to the countdown to midnight.

     

     The menu opens with slices of bluefin tuna with avocado, fish roe and salicornia, followed by mini burrata with strawberries and pistachio pesto. Main courses include codfish cooked at low temperature in smoked olive oil with confit potatoes, pea foam and bacon jelly. Another option is Angus filet mignon grilled in the Josper oven, served with baroa mousseline, charred broccoli and crispy shimeji.

     

     For dessert, a Belgian chocolate textures plate with red berries closes the year on a sweet, sophisticated note. After midnight, the party continues until 2 a.m., with comfort food such as mini cheeseburgers, panko-and-coconut-crusted shrimp, artisanal pizzas, tapioca bites and COA&CO gelato. Tropical fruit stations, Belgian chocolate bonbons, macarons, coffee and liqueurs complete the experience.

      

    Music lineup by the pool and in the lobby

     

     The evening opens with singer Adora at 8 p.m., bringing an R&B-influenced setlist. At 10:30 p.m., Pedro Mahal performs by the Infinity Pool, leading guests into the countdown. After the fireworks, the celebration moves to the lobby with DJ Scarlet and violinist Daiana, who play from 12:30 a.m. to 4 a.m.

      

    Tropìk Beach Club: beachfront celebration

     

     On the sand of Copacabana, Tropìk Beach Club hosts a New Year’s party with feet in the sand and a true carioca soul. The beach lounge translates seaside lifestyle into food, drinks and music. Dinner, served from 8 p.m., is designed for sharing slowly between friends, toasts and the sound of the waves.

     

     The menu by Jérôme Dardillac and his team highlights fresh ingredients and tropical pairings. Starters include hummus with smoked carrot and pita bread, green du Puy lentil salad with green apple and pomegranate vinaigrette, burrata with confit tomatoes and pistachio pesto. Smoked salmon with mascarpone and chives and a delicate namorado carpaccio with Mediterranean vinaigrette complete the selection.

     

     Main courses feature confit codfish with baroa mousseline and leek, grilled filet mignon medallions with wild mushroom sauce and a creamy shrimp rice with cilantro aioli. Side dishes include “grandma-style” french fries and a mix of green vegetables sautéed in olive oil and sesame. In this way, the menu builds intensity while keeping a summery feel.

     

     Desserts celebrate Rio’s tropical flair with chilled coconut cake, chocolate cream with cumaru and cashew nut praline, the classic Fairmont milk pudding with red berries and a fresh fruit salad. After midnight, the after-party runs until 1 a.m., with comforting dishes such as lentil cream and stew, traditionally associated with luck and prosperity.

      

    Fireworks, music and Copacabana energy

     

     With a privileged viewpoint of the fireworks show, Tropìk becomes a natural grandstand for Copacabana’s celebration. The sound of the sea, beats by DJ Palomma, performances by multi-instrumentalist Felipe Miranda and a toast under the lit-up sky set the mood. Thus, the night combines haute cuisine, music and the vibrant energy of the world’s most iconic beach.
