Pure blue is a key décor trend; BRN Construtora’s executive shares 3 practical ways to use the color at home.
Pure blue sets the tone in décor
The pure blue shade is gaining space in home decoration. The color is seen as authentic, deep and highly transformative. Besides that, it matches the search for interiors that convey calm, style and identity.
To help those who want to adopt this trend, Ana Paula Caramico, Executive Projects and Product Manager at BRN Construtora, shares three practical tips. This way, even neutral or compact spaces can receive blue with balance.
The specialist in residential products and common areas highlights that blue goes beyond appearance. In her words, it is “a color that invites slowing down, reconnecting and creating a home that follows your rhythm”.
“We can use it in specific points, creating color accents in the room, or in a bolder, more striking way.”
1. Using blue in subtle accents
The first tip is to introduce pure blue in small and subtle details. This allows residents to test the color without major changes and understand its impact.
Blue cushions, throws, vases, artworks and lamps quickly and affordably add the tone to the décor. These items create color accents, visual impact and a sense of care and unity in the room.
2. Creating a blue focal point
The second guideline is to define a focal point that concentrates the color and reshapes the room’s perception. Then, the remaining décor may stay neutral, which highlights the chosen element even more.
A wall behind the sofa or bed, a statement armchair or a painted blue door work well in this role. In this manner, the color anchors the gaze, organizes the space visually and brings personality, even to minimalist interiors.
3. Building a bold and immersive atmosphere
For a more daring result, Ana Paula suggests expanding pure blue across several elements. The tone can appear in furniture, surfaces, decorative objects and finishes, forming a cohesive look.
This integrated use adds depth, identity and a sophisticated aesthetic. In the end, the room gains an immersive, contemporary atmosphere, full of expressiveness, without losing comfort.
Before and after in a neutral living room
In one of Ana Paula’s projects, a neutral living room in white and beige went through this transformation. The environment looked bright and clean, but lacked strong visual features.
After applying pure blue to objects and surfaces, the perception changed significantly. Cushions, a central artwork, a ceramic vase and a lamp brought depth, warmth and an instant feeling of renewal.
“It is impressive how a single shade, when well applied, can connect the whole room and tell a new visual story,” says Caramico.
A versatile trend for 2026
Ana Paula points out that pure blue works in different home styles and sizes. It adapts to large houses, compact apartments and integrated layouts.
According to the executive, the secret lies in balance, intention and attention to detail. Therefore, this sober yet expressive color opens multiple composition possibilities for 2026.
