Maresias gains full-structure beach wedding venue
Located on Maresias beach, in São Sebastião (São Paulo’s north coast), Duke Beach Hotel & Spa is stepping up its destination wedding strategy from the second half of 2025. The hotel now positions itself as one of the most complete venues for beach events and mini weddings on the São Paulo coastline, under the guidance of event specialist Rinaldo Vieira.
With 35 years of experience and more than 8,000 celebrations delivered, Rinaldo was a leading name in São Paulo’s events scene for decades. He now plays a key role in consolidating Duke Beach Eventos as a reference for high-end weddings on the north coast.
Design-led identity and seaside settings
The expansion goes beyond ceremonies themselves. Rinaldo also leads the visual identity makeover of the hotel, reorganizing furniture and decor across all areas to raise aesthetic standards. The proposal is to blend understated luxury with the relaxed atmosphere of the beach.
A highlight is the full renovation of the pergola facing the sea, a prime spot for sunset ceremonies with an open view of the ocean. “Every visual detail matters when you are creating memories that will last forever. The space needs to match the emotional significance of the moment for couples and families,” he says.
His experience in luxury event curation now informs the daily guest journey as well, integrating hospitality and celebration into a single concept. As a result, the property positions itself as a destination for experiences rather than just accommodation.
Full exclusivity for up to 250 guests
Duke Beach Eventos operates with total exclusivity. The hotel closes its 33 sophisticated suites to host only the couple and up to 250 guests throughout the entire wedding weekend. This creates a private, seaside retreat atmosphere for each celebration.
The infrastructure includes a heated infinity pool and artificial lake, Renata França-branded spa with jacuzzi and saunas, a gym, beach tennis court and a dedicated bridal prep room. Initially focused on lodging and ceremonies, Duke Beach is now expanding to offer full food and beverage services across the weekend and on the wedding day itself.
