Founded by Pablo Augusto and Rodrigo Bornholdt, Zappts emerged during a fast-paced digitalization wave in Brazil, when companies increasingly needed apps and software to connect with customers. The firm started with a team of five and now has more than 100 employees.
Between 2024 and 2025, Zappts recorded 33% growth, consolidating itself as one of Brazil’s main references in AI agents. While already well known by current clients, the company now aims to expand this recognition across the broader market.
From mobile apps to full-stack consulting
Zappts initially focused on building mobile apps for iOS and Android, but quickly evolved into a full-service technology and innovation consultancy. Over the years, it has strengthened its position in artificial intelligence, with solutions that increase efficiency and business impact across sectors.
“We realized the world was changing very fast through technology and that digitalization had stopped being a trend to become a solid reality. We saw an opportunity to create an innovative and truly relevant company, capable of helping organizations navigate this transformation with purpose. That’s how Zappts was born,” says cofounder and CEO Pablo Augusto.
The decision to create the company came when the founders left careers of more than a decade at a large multinational to pursue their own project. “We decided to leave everything behind, take the risk and invest 100% in a project we deeply believed in. That was the moment when everything came off the drawing board, 11 years ago,” recalls Pablo.
Challenges, culture and an “agentic” strategy
In the early days, the main challenge was to prove value in a highly competitive market. Securing the first clients and demonstrating the team’s technical capacity were crucial steps. As the brand grew, the challenge shifted to showing this value to large organizations that still did not know Zappts.
Once the company earned clients’ trust, delivery quality and technical excellence became its calling card, driving recognition and expansion. “Today, practically everything at Zappts has artificial intelligence at its core. More than using AI in isolated cases, we infuse AI strategy into every area of the company,” Pablo explains.
For the founders, organizational culture is a key business strategy. Drawing on experience in large corporations, they designed a culture that prioritizes authenticity, well-being and an environment where people can be happy being themselves. According to Zappts, this directly impacts delivery quality and the value created for clients.
“We want to help companies evolve their digital transformation strategy in an agentic way, meaning using AI and intelligent agents as a strategic foundation, not as one-off initiatives,” says Pablo.
Expansion roadmap and advice for founders
Looking ahead, Zappts plans sector expansion in Brazil and internationalization, taking its solutions to new markets. The goal is to build a global presence while reinforcing its positioning in AI agents.
