Renascença Clube hosts PC Macabu and top samba and pagode acts in a birthday show with free entry until 6 p.m.
PC Macabu marks 15-year career in style
The historic Renascença Clube will turn into a true samba playground on Saturday, December 13. Samba phenomenon PC Macabu celebrates his birthday on stage alongside a powerful line-up of artists.
With 15 years of career, PC Macabu is regarded as a prodigy and an icon of contemporary samba. He started playing as a child at Cacique de Ramos and turned professional at just 15.
The event is set to energize the Andaraí neighborhood with music and celebration. In addition, the show brings together his own hits and new versions of beloved samba and pagode songs.
Samba and pagode all-star line-up
The stage will feature a strong roster of samba and pagode acts throughout the day. Among the confirmed attractions are Grupo Balacobaco, Ramon Ramos, Grupo Cem por Cento and Diney.
Also performing are Reis da Noite, Grupo Caju pra Baixo, Guga Nandes and Quintal da Magia. Together, they offer a varied and dynamic program for fans of the genre.
The proposal is to create a festive atmosphere that mirrors Rio’s traditional samba gatherings. Throughout the day, the audience will hear classics, recent hits and fresh interpretations.
Setlist of hits and emotional collaborations
PC Macabu will present a special setlist featuring some of his best-known songs. The repertoire includes “Vento”, “Minha Jangada”, “Já Passei Pelos Terreiros” (with Arlindo Cruz) and “Chuva no Sertão”.
The night will also revisit collaborations released with Thiago Soares, such as “Frasco Pequeno”, “Papo de Homem e Mulher” and “Oitava Cor”. These tracks are expected to create emotional sing-along moments.
The celebration is described as unmissable for those who live and breathe samba. Once again, Renascença Clube reinforces its status as a key address for Rio’s samba culture.
