Night tourism rises in Búzios with stargazing and canoeing

BZ Sports launches lunar canoeing and astrotourism, expanding Búzios’ nighttime experiences.

Brazil’s emerging night tourism

Night tourism gains momentum across Brazil, moving beyond dining to nature-based activities. In Búzios, BZ Sports from Grupo BZ introduces astrotourism and full-moon Hawaiian canoeing, creating fresh nighttime adventures.

Traditionally daytime-focused, Búzios now showcases its skies and seas after sunset. This shift caters to travelers seeking unique, nature-connected experiences beyond conventional nightlife.

Stargazing at Ponta da Lagoinha

The astrotourism tour explores Ponta da Lagoinha, prized for its dark skies and rock formations. Featuring easy walks and insights into moon phases, constellations, and celestial events, it taps into global trends for low-light destinations.

“Daytime visitors rarely experience Búzios’ night skies. We’re highlighting this transformation,” says Ana Nogueira, BZ Sports manager.

Moonlit Hawaiian canoe paddling

Full-moon Hawaiian canoe outings depart from Praia dos Ossos toward Azeda and Azedinha beaches. Beginner-friendly and guided, they offer serene paddling on calm waters illuminated by lunar reflections.

The format aligns with rising popularity of nighttime water sports along Brazil’s coastlines, blending adventure with contemplation.

Destination diversification

Known for food and culture, Búzios now leverages sky, sea, and geography for evening tourism. These offerings balance visitor flow, extend stays, and position the city as an experiential destination.
