Latin America’s biggest retro party unites Paquitas, Trem da Alegria and more at Qualistage on February 28 for 6+ hours of nostalgia.
21 artists revive 80s memories
Festa PLOC marks 21 years by becoming an unprecedented festival. On February 28, Saturday, it gathers 21 artists at Qualistage in Rio’s Barra da Tijuca for over six hours of retro music celebration.
Lineup features Paquitas (Catuxita and Xiquitita), Trem da Alegria (Luciano Nassyn + Juninho Bill), Banda Ploc, Zé Henrique (Yahoo), Alex Gil (Polegar) and Guilherme Isnard (Zero). Additions include Vinícius Cantuária, Felipe Dylon and Rodrigo Saldanha (Abelhudos).
Icons and fresh faces unite
Also performing: Avellar Love (João Penca), Dr. Silvana & Cia, Eu Convidado (Lobão tribute), Mais do Mesmo (Legião Urbana) and Daniel Del Sarto (80s Musical). DJ DOM LV spins, with special surprises.
Newcomers since last year include Juninho Bill, Guilherme Isnard and others fans awaited. Thus, the anniversary edition bridges eras through shared affection.
“It will be Rio’s biggest 80s celebration ever. PLOC is an emotional meeting point,” says creator Luciano Vianna.
From summer party to cultural phenomenon
Launched in 2004 as a seasonal event, PLOC became retro synonym. It hosts 150 annual editions across Brazil and abroad, reaching over 5 million people alongside Capital Inicial, Ivete Sangalo and more.
A 2026 documentary will chronicle its legacy. Meanwhile, it preserves celebrating life through music, memory and community connection.
