Diogo Nogueira launched Carnival at Rede Windsor Hoteis with samba hits, celebrities and tributes in Barra da Tijuca.
Samba performance and emotion
On Saturday (14), Rede Windsor Hoteis kicked off Carnival with its traditional Carnival Feijoada at Windsor Oceânico hotel in Barra da Tijuca. Diogo Nogueira repeated last year’s success, thrilling the audience with samba classics like “Maracangalha” and “Toda Menina Baiana”.
The setlist featured a Carnival medley with “É Hoje” and “Explode Coração”, plus songs by João Nogueira, Beth Carvalho, Zeca Pagodinho and Arlindo Cruz. Thus, Diogo celebrated Brazil’s samba heritage with great energy.
Celebrities and special honors
Guests included actress Alinne Prado, journalists Ancelmo Gois, Valmir Moratelli, Renata Granchi and Otavio Furtado, plus hosts Clóvis Monteiro and Rafael Paiva. Quitéria Chagas, Império Serrano’s drum queen, was crowned feijoada muse for the second consecutive year.
Diogo Nogueira, mother Ângela Nogueira and sister Clarisse presented a commemorative artwork for Rede Windsor’s 40th anniversary. Clarisse announced the Infinito Samba tour with exclusive discounts for Windsor guests.
Clube do Samba and social impact
Supported by Rede Windsor, the Clube do Samba, founded by João Nogueira in 1979, preserves Brazilian musical roots. President Ângela Nogueira emphasized partnerships to expand the Clubinho do Samba, serving over 1,500 children with music, theater and capoeira workshops.
The event offered a complete feijoada buffet with nine meats, varied sides and open bar including beer and caipirinha. Therefore, the feijoada blended samba, gastronomy and social responsibility in a memorable celebration.
