Xande de Pilares kicked off Rio’s 2026 Carnival with a vibrant samba show at Camarote Rio Praia, uniting fans on the Sapucaí.
Opening night on the avenue
The Rio 2026 Carnival officially began on Friday (13) as Xande de Pilares performed on the Camarote Rio Praia stage. The show launched the venue’s program and turned the Sambadrome into a lively samba gathering.
Performing hits like “Tá Escrito,” “Clareou,” “Deixa Acontecer,” and “Gratidão,” the singer led the crowd in chorus. This performance celebrated samba’s legacy while connecting traditional and modern rhythms.
Music and recognizable faces
Following his performance, Quintal da Lapa invited the Confraria Carioca Group to lead samba sessions between parades. As a result, the party atmosphere remained alive throughout the night.
Among the guests in the VIP area were Juliane Araujo, Maíra Charken, and Aline Borges, alongside entrepreneurs and influencers who chose the venue to start their Carnival journey.
