AltoQi’s 2025 report shows that digital management and technology are now essential for competitiveness.
A turning point for the industry
In 2026, Brazil’s construction sector operates under a new rulebook: efficiency and digital integration are no longer optional. According to AltoQi, the year marks a transformation where data, planning, and technology define survival in an increasingly demanding market.
In 2025, the average building cost reached R$1,872.24 per m² (SINAPI/IBGE, Sept/2025), compared to R$1,773.20 in 2024—revealing operational inefficiencies caused by delays, waste, and lack of integration. “The question is no longer whether technology is necessary, but how to apply it effectively,” says Felipe Althoff, AltoQi’s CEO.
From theory to practice
Technologies such as Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Digital Construction Management became practical tools in the field. Companies adopting industrialized and off-site methods began reaping benefits like predictability, less waste, and improved energy efficiency through automation and integrated design.
Still, adoption remains slow — about 70% of firms are evolving gradually. Growth for 2026 is projected at 2.7% (SindusCon-SP/FGV Ibre), but Althoff notes that “only companies that combine data, method, and integration between design and execution will grow. The era of improvisation is over.”
Artificial intelligence and integration
Artificial intelligence is now embedded in engineering workflows, automating repetitive tasks and optimizing parameters and budgets. Meanwhile, BIM evolves to incorporate time, cost, sustainability, and asset management, creating a fully controlled project lifecycle.
Knowledge and innovation path
To support this shift, AltoQi hosted technical webinars on industrialized systems, structural design productivity, and BIM-integrated budgeting. The initiative leads up to the AltoQi 2026 Launch, a free online event on March 10, featuring the latest innovations across its software portfolio.
The main announcement will be Nodes, a new Eberick feature designed to give engineers more creative control and flexibility in structural modeling.
With 36 years in the market, AltoQi, based in Florianópolis, remains Brazil’s leader in engineering technology. “The future of construction is built on data, process, and precision — not improvisation,” concludes Althoff.
