Gero Rio starts black truffle season from Feb 6

Gero Rio at Hotel Fasano Rio debuts a Feb 6 dinner menu featuring black truffles from Umbria, with starters and pasta dishes, served while supplies last.

Gero Rio, the restaurant at Hotel Fasano Rio de Janeiro, is launching a new black truffle season. A batch from Umbria, Italy, has just arrived. In addition, the exclusive menu will be served while supplies last.

The menu was created by executive chef Luigi Moressa. Service begins at dinner on February 6. As a result, the dishes are kept simple to highlight the truffles’ aroma and flavor.

Starters and main dishes

For starters, the restaurant suggests beef carpaccio with parmesan shavings and black truffles (R$ 590). Another option is beef tartare with black truffles (R$ 590). Next, the menu moves into pasta-focused main courses.

Main dishes include butter fettuccine with a parmesan cheese sauce and black truffles (R$ 720). The menu also offers funghi ravioli with black truffles (R$ 720). This way, the experience centers on classic, aromatic pairings.

Gero Rio recommends booking in advance. Therefore, guests are encouraged to plan ahead for the seasonal offering. The experience follows the restaurant’s regular opening hours.
