Goyard opens its first Brazil pop-up on Jan 28 at Shopping JK Iguatemi, previewing a renovated boutique set to reopen in late April.
Maison Goyard is opening its first pop-up store in Brazil on January 28. The temporary space sits on the ground floor of Shopping JK Iguatemi, facing the brand’s current boutique.
Measuring 88 square meters, the operation is presented as a milestone for the brand in Brazil and Latin America. In addition, it is described as Goyard’s first and only pop-up in the country.
Design rooted in heritage
Developed by the Maison’s international team, the space reinterprets historic brand codes through a contemporary lens. Elements cited include mahogany furniture, a black-and-white chevron floor, and the iconic Goyard Green.
According to the text, the design references the brand’s first flagship, opened in Paris in 1853. In this way, the pop-up connects heritage with a modern presentation.
Product curation and marquage
At the pop-up, clients will find a curated selection of products chosen individually for the local market. In addition, the brand emphasizes timeless pieces designed to last across generations.
The experience is positioned as immersive, highlighting heritage and artisanal production. Marquage, Goyard’s traditional hand-applied personalization, will be available from the pop-up onward, underscoring the savoir-faire the Maison cites as a pillar.
Renovated permanent boutique
The pop-up opening comes ahead of a temporary closure of the current store for renovation. The reopening is planned for late April, keeping the same location.
The revamped boutique will span 120 square meters and feature a more robust architectural concept inspired by 19th-century Europe. Materials mentioned include marble, polished brass, painted glass, and oak.
The plan also includes an element described as new for the brand: an open personalization atelier visible from both inside and outside the store. Finally, the text says this feature will be a worldwide exclusive of the Iguatemi unit.
Brazil market strategy
With the pop-up, Goyard says it is previewing details of the new permanent boutique and advancing its consolidation strategy in Brazil. As a result, the brand positions the move as preparation for a more complete Maison experience.
