Copacabana Palace sets Provence Brunch for Feb. 8

Copacabana Palace hosts the 3rd Provence Brunch edition at Pérgula with Whispering Angel rosé; the next date is February 8.

Copacabana Palace, A Belmond Hotel, in Rio de Janeiro, is holding the third annual Provence Brunch edition. The experience celebrates French culture through high-end gastronomy. In addition, it partners with Whispering Angel rosé from Château d’Esclans.

Since November 2025, the brunch has run on selected Sundays at the Pérgula restaurant. The next date is set for February 8. Next, the final edition is scheduled for March 22.

Whispering Angel in the spotlight

Whispering Angel is described as the world’s best-selling Provence rosé. According to the release, it stands out for being light, delicate, and elegant. In addition, it offers a refreshing palate with red-fruit and floral notes.

The wine is made from a blend of Grenache, Cinsault, and Rolle. The grapes are grown near the Esclans Valley and within the Côtes de Provence area. As a result, the process aims to preserve the label’s vibrancy and signature aromas.

How it is made

Production begins with nighttime harvesting to preserve the fruit, according to the material. After strict selection and gentle pressing, fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks. In addition, bâtonnage is performed twice a week.

The process ends with careful cooling to maintain freshness and aromas. In this way, the hotel links the rosé’s profile to a Sunday brunch concept. However, the experience also reinforces a summer seasonal mood.

Experience and reservations

At the Provence Brunch, the hotel proposes pairing the rosé with Copacabana Palace gastronomy. The goal is to make Sunday afternoons feel lighter. Finally, reservations are available through the restaurant’s official experiences booking page.

Belmond says it operates a global collection of 44 properties across 25 countries and territories. The group runs hotels, trains, river cruises, and safari lodges. In addition, Belmond has been part of LVMH since 2019.

About Château d’Esclans

Château d’Esclans is located northeast of Saint-Tropez in the Côtes de Provence region. The winery is known for rosé production and underwent a major shift in 2006, when it was acquired by Sacha Lichine. As a result, the project has been linked to the so-called “Rosé Renaissance,” alongside winemaker Patrick Léon.

The release cites Rock Angel, Château d’Esclans, Garrus, and Whispering Angel among its labels. Since 2019, Moët Hennessy, LVMH’s wines and spirits division, has included the selection in its portfolio. In this way, the winery expanded international visibility and reinforced Provence as a rosé reference.
