L’Oréal Brazil holds an LGBTI+ corporate forum meeting and the “Meu Nome de Verdade” task force with free legal name and gender updates for up to 150 people.

On Monday (26), L’Oréal Group in Brazil is hosting two events at its headquarters in Rio de Janeiro. The initiatives are part of Trans Visibility Month. In addition, they reinforce the company’s stated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

In the morning, the company welcomes the Regional Meeting of the Forum of Companies and LGBTI+ Rights. The initiative brings together representatives from more than 60 signatory companies. In this way, it discusses inclusion, welcoming practices, employability, and social impact for trans people.

    Discussion among signatory companies

L’Oréal Group in Brazil has been a forum signatory since 2018. The business movement works continuously around ten commitments. As a result, the company says it supports the promotion of LGBTQIAPN+ human rights.

The regional meeting expands dialogue among companies and stakeholders. In addition, it encourages exchanging experiences about inclusion policies. Next, the agenda moves to a practical afternoon action.

“Meu Nome de Verdade” task force

From 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., the company will hold the “Meu Nome de Verdade” task force. The action is carried out in partnership with Fiocruz. In this way, up to 150 employees and partners can update legal name and gender on official documents free of charge.

Documents mentioned include the birth certificate. The project is part of the company’s strategy to support the right to identity. In addition, it includes time-off allowance, logistical support, and coverage of transportation and meals.

The program also provides subsidies for document issuance when needed. As a result, the initiative aims to offer practical support for trans people. Finally, the company links the action to dignity within the workplace.

“For L’Oréal Group in Brazil, visibility means dignity. Our commitment goes beyond words. We want to act concretely to guarantee the right to identity, access to employability, and welcoming practices so the workplace truly becomes a safe space of respect, belonging, and impact for everyone.”

    Other actions during the month

The initiatives are part of a broader Trans Visibility Month agenda. It includes the launch of Mentoria TRANSformar, aimed at development and career acceleration for trans and non-binary people within the company. In addition, it includes a new corporate benefit to support hormone therapy.

The hormone-therapy support will be offered through an annual reimbursement. The benefit applies to full-time employees and interns. In this way, the company says it is expanding internal support and inclusion policies.

    Company internal indicators

According to the company, more than 17% of employees in Brazil self-identify as part of the LGBTQIAPN+ community. It also states that around 10% of leaders do so as well. In addition, an internal 2025 survey found that 93% say they feel safe and proud to work at the company.
