Escama celebrates five years in Rio’s Jardim Botânico with a special anniversary menu from Jan. 27 to Feb. 8 and an Oyster Bar on Jan. 31 and Feb. 1.
Seafood restaurant Escama is preparing a special program to celebrate five years in Rio de Janeiro’s Jardim Botânico. The celebration takes place in early February and runs for more than a week.
To mark the milestone, the restaurant launches a new menu and hosts a dedicated Oyster Bar weekend. In this way, the anniversary is designed as a gift for guests.
Anniversary special menu
The Anniversary Special Menu is available from Jan. 27 to Feb. 8. Among the new items is the Open Cavaquinha Pastry, priced at R$39.
Another highlight is the Escama Boat for R$160, featuring 10 items selected by the chef. In addition, the restaurant emphasizes the shareable format and presentation.
The menu also includes the Escaminha Burger with Fries for R$78. It comes with two mini brioche sandwiches filled with tempura fresh fish, house tartar sauce, and mujol.
The Lagostim/Tuna Katsu, priced at R$74, brings sandwiches on milk bread with lagostim and tuna seared with Dijon mustard and a spicy touch. Next, it is served with house fries.
One of the more refined dishes is the Carabineiro Ravioloni for R$138. It features a large ravioli filled with carabineiro shrimp and nirá, wrapped in a bisque made from the same shrimp.
According to the restaurant, the dishes celebrate Escama’s identity and its sea-driven inspiration. Thus, the menu aims to reflect the venue’s trajectory in Rio’s dining scene.
Oyster Bar on the veranda
On Jan. 31 and Feb. 1, Escama will host an Oyster Bar on its veranda. The area is integrated with nature and matches the neighborhood’s atmosphere.
Oysters will be served at R$13 per unit. On the other hand, a 4-oyster combo costs R$48.
The restaurant also highlights a full beverage list, including signature cocktails and selected wines. In addition, non-alcoholic options are designed to pair with the menu and the Oyster Bar.
“Five years later, Escama celebrates its story while looking to the future, without forgetting those who have been there since the beginning. It’s an invitation to celebrate with us, toast, taste, share, and be part of a journey that remains strong, flavorful, and deeply connected to the sea and to Rio de Janeiro,” says Diogo Couto, the entrepreneur behind Escama.
