Fairmont Rio and Camarote Arpoador renew their Carnival 2026 partnership, led by the “Verão Maravilha” Masquerade Ball with Ludmilla.
Fairmont Rio de Janeiro Copacabana confirmed its Carnival 2026 theme: Verão Maravilha. As a result, the hotel will deliver the second edition of its Masquerade Ball, inspired by summer energy.
The program is produced with Camarote Arpoador. In addition, the partnership strengthens the link between hospitality, entertainment, and Rio’s culture.
Masquerade Ball led by Ludmilla
Fairmont’s highlights include the Masquerade Ball and the Feijoada da Apuração. Next, the hotel announced Ludmilla as the ball’s headliner.
The ball takes place on the Friday before the Champions Parade. The night is expected to bring together invited guests, personalities, and Carnival fans for music, costumes, and immersive experiences.
In 2026, Ludmilla will front the stage alongside Grande Rio’s drumline and guest DJs. In addition, Brunna Gonçalves will appear as the event’s special muse.
Feijoada event keeps samba tradition
The Feijoada da Apuração will feature a show by Marvvila and participation from the drumline of the Duque de Caxias-based samba school. In this way, Fairmont keeps the tradition of celebrating before the official scores.
The project reinforces Fairmont’s position as a hotel connected to the city. On the other hand, the agenda also targets local audiences, not only guests.
2025 success and 2026 outlook
The 2026 edition follows the 2025 Masquerade Ball, themed Jardim Tropical. At the time, IZA headlined, with performances by Grande Rio’s front commission and drumline.
The 2025 event also stood out for set design by Diego Maverty and a menu created by chef Jérôme Dardillac. In addition, brand activations turned the hotel into an immersive tropical concept.
“In 2026, Fairmont’s Masquerade Ball takes on a new shape with the Verão Maravilha theme, celebrating the energy, diversity, and creativity that make Rio a unique stage. Featuring artists like Ludmilla, Brunna Gonçalves, and Marvvila is a way to celebrate talents that represent different voices and territories across the city.”
For Netto Moreira, general manager of Accor’s luxury cluster in Rio, the Masquerade Ball is now among the city’s major Carnival events. Therefore, the concept blends music, gastronomy, and art in Copacabana.
Set against one of the world’s most iconic backdrops, Fairmont presents Carnival as a full experience. Finally, the events aim to deliver an intense and sophisticated celebration in Rio.
