KVSH and Orquestra Ouro Preto are releasing the second single from their crossover project. The track, “Toccata”, arrives on January 16. Moreover, it will be available across all digital audio and video platforms.
The song draws inspiration from one of Johann Sebastian Bach’s most iconic works. In this way, the release proposes an intense, contemporary blend. The orchestra’s scale meets electronic pulse without losing either identity.
How the concept took shape
The creative process started with a mutual provocation between conductor Rodrigo Toffolo and KVSH. The concept split the repertoire into two directions. While half of KVSH’s catalog would be reinterpreted by the orchestra, the other half would reimagine concert classics through electronic language.
In that second path, well-known classical pieces are rebuilt with club-driven structure. Therefore, the project creates a dialogue between score and drop. However, the release emphasizes that neither universe dominates the other.
Momentum and key quotes
The new single follows the success of “Potter 3.0”, the project’s first release. The track gained platform visibility and sparked strong audience response. Next, the first two concerts sold out at Lagoa dos Ingleses and Palácio das Artes.
