Botafogo’s Academy opens Summer Acting Course enrollment

Intensive three-month program focuses on acting, body movement, and storytelling techniques.

Registration and class schedule

The Botafogo Acting Academy’s Summer Course is now open for enrollment with limited spots. Classes start on January 7 for children and teens, and January 10 for adults.

Divided by age and focus, the course offers an immersive experience in acting, body expression, movement awareness, and storytelling. Each group concludes with live stage performances.

Concept and teaching proposal

Created by cultural producer Márcia Gomes, the program reflects over 30 years of experience in theater production. Her goal is to restore technical depth and artistic discipline in acting education, promoting a professional and structured approach.

According to Márcia, teacher selection focused on expertise and pedagogy rather than popularity. “I chose educators I would trust to teach someone I love,” she explains, emphasizing commitment and real-world experience.

Faculty and specialties

The program features respected artists: Pitty Webo (Acting for Adults and Teens), known from TV and theater; Luiz Antônio do Nascimento (Kids & Teen Acting), remembered as Buscapé from “O Cravo e a Rosa”.

Mari Amorim leads Body Expression and Movement sessions, while Priscila Camargo teaches Storytelling, emphasizing voice control, rhythm, and narrative techniques. Each instructor combines artistry with practical experience.
