From free beachfront fireworks to luxury parties and family events, Miami offers 10 top ways to celebrate New Year’s Eve 2026 for every style.

Miami: a year-end favorite for Brazilians

Miami is one of the most popular destinations for Brazilians who want to spend New Year’s abroad. The city combines pleasant weather, seaside scenery and a packed holiday calendar.

Whether for glamorous New Year’s Eve parties, exclusive events or relaxed outdoor celebrations with family, the city delivers. As a result, Miami hosts some of the most sought-after New Year’s festivities in the United States.

According to Daniel Ickowicz, CEO of Elite International Realty, New Year’s Eve is one of the most special dates in the local calendar. The real estate firm, founded by Brazilians, has over 30 years of experience in the Florida market.

“Miami can cater to every kind of visitor on New Year’s Eve. You can celebrate at a big party, at an international concert, at a quieter and more sophisticated event or at an outdoor family experience. This diversity is what makes the city one of the most desired destinations in the world at this time of year, including among Brazilians,” says Daniel Ickowicz.

Below, check out 10 of Ickowicz’s top suggestions for welcoming 2026 in Miami. The list ranges from free fireworks shows to black-tie galas and major concerts.

    1. Free fireworks at Lummus Park

The traditional New Year’s Eve fireworks show takes place at midnight on Ocean Drive, in front of Lummus Park in Miami Beach. The event is free and draws thousands of people to the shoreline.

Ocean Drive is closed to vehicle traffic for the celebration, turning the street into a pedestrian area. In addition, restaurants with outdoor seating extend their hours, creating the perfect beachfront countdown setting.

    2. The Countdown Miami at Bayfront Park

Bayfront Park hosts one of the largest New Year’s celebrations in the United States with The Countdown Miami. Overlooking the bay, the event features performances by international artists.

The line-up includes Marshmello, Nicky Jam, Flo Rida, Gente de Zona and Toño Rosario, plus a major fireworks display. The goal is to turn the celebration into a new tradition for residents and visitors.

    3. David Guetta at Fontainebleau Miami Beach

Fontainebleau Miami Beach stages one of the most anticipated New Year’s Eve parties of 2026. DJ David Guetta headlines the seafront pool area of the resort.

The night includes a special countdown, live entertainment, refined cuisine and an open bar. In this way, guests enjoy a fully serviced, luxurious celebration by the ocean.

    4. The Last Flame rooftop party at MILA

For a more sophisticated experience, The Last Flame party takes over the rooftop at MILA. The celebration unfolds under the stars, with an intimate atmosphere.

The event combines an exclusive tasting menu, elegant setting and privileged views of the city lights. As a result, it creates an inspiring environment to welcome the new year.

    5. Jonas Brothers live at Hard Rock Live Hollywood

Pop music fans can celebrate New Year’s Eve with the Jonas Brothers. The group performs live at Hard Rock Live Hollywood on December 31, starting at 10 p.m.

The show promises an upbeat evening filled with hits and festive energy. It is an inviting option for those who want to ring in 2026 to a pop soundtrack.

    6. New Year’s at LIV Miami with MEDUZA

One of Miami’s most iconic nightclubs, LIV Miami, located at Fontainebleau, welcomes DJ trio MEDUZA as its main attraction. The group is known for global house hits and cinematic production.

The club will feature cutting-edge sound and lighting for a full house music experience. A stylish crowd and dancing well past midnight complete the party.

    7. Gala at St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort

Those seeking a classic, elegant New Year’s Eve can opt for the gala at St. Regis Bal Harbour. The celebration takes place in the Astor Ballroom.

The programme includes a cocktail reception, buffet-style dinner and a champagne toast on the beach. Guests also enjoy a fireworks show over the Atlantic, live music and dancing to welcome 2026 in style.

    8. Night at the Garden at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden

Ideal for families, Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden hosts Night at the Garden. The event takes place amid lush greenery and illuminated pathways.

The celebration includes live music, interactive installations, artificial snow and 9 p.m. fireworks. Families can enjoy an enchanting New Year’s experience and head home earlier.

    9. New Year’s Eve dinner at La Grande Boucherie

For those who prefer to greet the new year with fine dining, La Grande Boucherie in Miami Beach is a strong choice. The restaurant is located in the charming South of Fifth neighbourhood.

The venue pairs a Parisian-inspired atmosphere with lush gardens and an elegant interior, ideal for a special dinner. It offers a fixed three-course menu priced at US$ 175 per person.

Starters include Steak Tartare and Wagyu Carpaccio. Main courses feature dry-aged NY Strip, Filet de Boeuf, Lamb Chops and Grilled Entrecôte.

Desserts range from Basque Cheesecake to Crème Brûlée. A children’s three-course menu is available for US$ 65, making the experience suitable for couples and families alike.

    10. New Year’s Day Orchestra Concert

To extend the festive mood into the first day of the year, the New Year’s Day Orchestra Concert is a cultural highlight. The open-air performance takes place on 1 January at 6 p.m.

Once again, Lummus Park, at 12th Street in Miami Beach, serves as the setting. The free concert by the Miami Beach Classical Music Festival brings classical music to the oceanfront.

The event offers a light, elegant and inspiring way to start the year. It blends culture, nature and the relaxed atmosphere that defines New Year’s in Miami.

Extra ideas: clubs, hotels and restaurants

Beyond the main events, Miami offers a series of clubs, hotels and restaurants with their own New Year’s programmes. These alternatives cater to different tastes and budgets.

Among nightclubs and parties, highlights include Francis Mercier | unKommon Events – Little River Studios and E11EVEN Miami. Both are known for late-night celebrations and high-energy crowds.

Several hotels also host special events, such as InterContinental Miami, The Betsy – South Beach and Biltmore Hotel Miami. Their programmes typically feature themed dinners, live music and fireworks.

On the dining side, options include Gianni’s at the Former Versace Mansion, Amazonico Miami, CATCH Miami Beach, Marion Miami, Churrascaria Lafayette and RosaNegra Miami. These restaurants usually prepare special menus for guests to toast the arrival of 2026 with memorable gastronomy.
