Vintage Culture leads Curitiba’s first mega pre-Carnival party

Curitiba debuts its Pré-Carnaval in February 2026 at Pedreira Paulo Leminski with an exclusive extended set by Vintage Culture.

City hosts its first mega pre-Carnival

The Curitiba Carnival is about to gain a major new highlight that aims to attract tourists from around the world from 2026 onward. On 7 February 2026, the city will host the first edition of Pré-Carnaval Curitiba.

The event will take place at the iconic Pedreira Paulo Leminski, one of Curitiba’s most emblematic venues. The space will be transformed into a huge open-air dance floor, dedicated to electronic music.

The goal is to position Curitiba as a new pre-Carnival destination in Brazil. In doing so, the city expands its calendar of large-scale music and entertainment events.

Vintage Culture brings exclusive extended set

At the decks, the party will be headlined by DJ and producer Vintage Culture, one of the leading names in global electronic music. For Pré-Carnaval Curitiba, he will perform an exclusive extended set created especially for the event.

Born in Mundo Novo, in Brazil’s Mato Grosso do Sul state, Lukas Rafael Hespanhol Ruiz rose to fame under the stage name Vintage Culture. Blending nostalgia and innovation, he built a career marked by intense and highly personal sets.

He first caught international attention with unique versions of classics such as “Blue Monday” (New Order) and “Another Brick in the Wall” (Pink Floyd. Since then, he has kept up a steady flow of releases on major international labels.

Global festivals and a signature house sound

Vintage Culture has played at some of the world’s biggest festivals, including Tomorrowland, Lollapalooza, Rock in Rio and EDC. On these stages, he has consolidated a distinctive house music style with Brazilian roots.

His sound combines 1980s influences with contemporary electronic aesthetics. As a result, his sets connect different generations of clubbers on the same dance floor.

By choosing Vintage Culture as its main attraction, Pré-Carnaval Curitiba debuts with clear festival ambitions. The project places electronic music at the center of its identity from the very first edition.
