Final weekend of family-friendly Christmas experiences
As Rio de Janeiro embraces the festive season, Shopping Leblon enters the final weekend of its special Christmas programme, inviting families to enjoy the last days of activities. The schedule includes kids’ workshops, themed parades, Santa encounters and the traditional Christmas Market.
Throughout the season, the mall has focused on delivering memorable and emotional experiences. Now, the closing days are designed to leave visitors with warm holiday memories and shared moments.
The combination of entertainment, culture and convenient services reinforces Shopping Leblon’s role as a key destination for Christmas in Rio’s South Zone.
Christmas Parades and creative workshops for kids
On Friday, 19 December, the mall hosts its final Christmas Parades, bringing music, colours and beloved characters to the corridors. The shows are scheduled for 3 p.m., 4 p.m. and 5 p.m..
Santa Claus, Afrânio, Helena and their helpers will walk through the mall, transforming the space into a live Christmas spectacle that delights children and adults.
On Saturday, 20 December, the Afrânio’s Gift Workshops take place from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., inviting children into the creative world of a festive Christmas Factory.
Daily Santa sessions and free creative activities
During the workshops, children work with ribbons, paper, paints and glitter to craft personalised gifts. Sponsored by PRIO, the activity reinforces Shopping Leblon’s commitment to playful and educational experiences during the holidays.
Until 24 December, visitors can also meet Santa Claus every day from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m., on the first floor, in a dedicated setting designed for photos and unforgettable encounters.
Children have access to free activities such as colouring sheets and letters to Santa, supervised by a monitor who encourages creativity and keeps the Christmas spirit alive.
Christmas Market with curated brands on the Ground Floor
Until 24 December, Shopping Leblon hosts its Christmas Market on the Ground Floor (Piso Zero). The space showcases a curated selection of artisan, independent and author brands.
Shoppers will find creative gift options, gourmet products and exclusive pieces, in a charming environment that favours slower, more thoughtful year-end shopping.
Participating brands include Care Natural Beauty, Si Poesia Engarrafada, Briek, Pâtés Valerie, Woods Wine, FB Cards, AC Store, Pippa Patisserie and Danni Enne Cerâmicas.
Extended holiday opening hours for Christmas and New Year’s
To support last-minute shoppers, from 12 to 23 December the mall opens earlier, at 9 a.m.. During this period, stores operate from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., while the food court and restaurants open from 12 p.m. to 11 p.m..
On Christmas Eve (24 December), stores are open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and food outlets from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.. On New Year’s Eve (31 December), both stores and food services run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m..
On 25 December and 1 January, only the food area will be open, from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m..
