Alexandre Birman reopens its boutique at VillageMall, in Rio de Janeiro, with a new architectural concept and the launch of the The Holiday Season and Modern Tropic collections.

Brand returns to a key address in Rio

The brand has officially reopened its store at VillageMall, on Avenida das Américas, L1 floor, in Rio’s Barra da Tijuca. The space renews Alexandre Birman’s connection with a location that has been part of its journey in the carioca market.

With the official opening on 3 December, the boutique reinforces the label’s presence in one of Rio de Janeiro’s most prestigious shopping destinations, strengthening ties with its local clientele.

More than a reopening, the return to VillageMall symbolises the brand’s evolution and its ongoing mission to blend authorial design, modernity and Brazilian craftsmanship in a single space.

    Modernist, feminine and sophisticated architecture

The new store follows the architectural concept created by Liana Tessler Arquitetura, the office behind some of Alexandre Birman’s most emblematic projects in Brazil and abroad, including the Bal Harbour boutique in Miami and the Milan showroom.

The environment reflects the brand’s essence through a modernist, sophisticated and feminine aesthetic, the same pillars that guide the design of its footwear. The layout was conceived to showcase products as the main highlight.

Materials such as pau-ferro wood, golden brass and marble shape a warm, elegant atmosphere. This composition enhances the collections and frames each pair of shoes as a statement piece.

Tailored service and Made To Order

The store experience is complemented by personalised customer service and exclusive features such as Made To Order, underscoring the brand’s commitment to excellence and proximity with its clients.

The goal is to offer a boutique environment where clients can explore collections calmly, receive styling advice and take part in the selection and customisation of their shoes, turning shopping into a bespoke experience.

The Holiday Season and Modern Tropic collections

To mark the reopening, Alexandre Birman presents The Holiday Season collection, which celebrates the sophistication of the festive period. The line translates the brand’s refined aesthetic into feminine silhouettes, luxurious textures and materials that play with light and movement.

The styles highlight the label’s authorial design and handcrafted savoir-faire, offering pieces designed for celebrations and evening events, with a balance of glamour and comfort.

The store also showcases the Modern Tropic collection, described as an ode to contemporary femininity and the beauty of shapes in motion. Inspired by the season’s dynamism, the line brings a sensitive, artistic approach to fashion and remains available until the end of February.

    Global footprint and artisanal DNA

Founded in 2008, Alexandre Birman is internationally recognised for its sophisticated design, high-quality standards and refined craftsmanship. The brand is part of Grupo AZZAS, the largest fashion conglomerate in Latin America.

The label operates 13 stores in Brazil and boutiques in New York (Madison Avenue and SoHo) and Miami (Bal Harbour), as well as being carried by leading global retailers such as Bergdorf Goodman and Saks Fifth Avenue.

Its signature style icon is the Clarita sandal, celebrated by women in everyday looks and on red carpets worldwide. Since 2022, under the creative direction of Guilherme Kfouri, the brand has doubled down on innovation and contemporary sophistication, while preserving its timeless, handcrafted essence.
