Hilton Barra and Shopping Metropolitano offer Christmas and New Year events with dinners, parties, gifts, car raffle and family activities.
Partnership creates magical year-end
Rio de Janeiro’s Southwest Zone will enjoy a memorable holiday season thanks to a partnership between Hilton Barra Rio de Janeiro and Shopping Metropolitano Barra. Located just a few steps apart, they offer a full program of celebrations, activities and special conditions for local residents.
Beyond the festive period, hotel guests receive up to 15% off selected attractions at the mall, such as Meta Kart and Bowling, YouPlay and Animasom. This integration strengthens the area as a convenient leisure hub for families and travelers.
Sweet Christmas at MET delights families
At Shopping Metropolitano Barra, the “Doce Natal do MET” has already taken over the common areas, with themed décor and a free program. The initiative reinforces the mall’s connection with the Southwest Zone community by offering accessible entertainment.
In the main event square on the first floor, a magical setting features a 10-meter Christmas tree, decorated with lollipops, cookies and gingerbread figures. Inside the tree, an interactive tunnel and toys such as a slide and spinning cup ride welcome children aged 3 to 10, every day during mall hours.
Santa, pets and social engagement
On the second floor, next to Cinemark, visitors find Santa’s throne, a dedicated pet-friendly space and a charming mailbox for letters. Families can take free photos with Santa Claus every day until December 24, from noon to 8 p.m.
Until December 20, at 7 p.m., the mall presents Natal Luz, a parade of illuminated cars that tours nearby streets, departing from the East Parking lot. In addition to entertaining residents, the event collects toys, clothes and non-perishable food for partner NGOs.
A donation box is also available at the Customer Service Area on the second floor during the week. In this way, visitors can contribute to the solidarity campaign even outside the parade schedule, reinforcing the mall’s role in the local community.
Cultural agenda, gifts and car raffle
On Saturdays at 4 p.m., Shopping Metropolitano hosts free cultural attractions. On December 20, the Coral Belo Canto choir closes the program with a selection of traditional Christmas carols, creating an emotional and festive atmosphere.
Until December 24, the mall runs a special year-end promotion. For every R$ 650 spent, shoppers receive an exclusive Brasil Cacau chocolate chip panettone and a lucky number to enter the draw for a Jeep Compass Sport 2026.
Redemptions take place on the second floor, and the panettone is limited to one unit per taxpayer ID. The car raffle will be held after the campaign ends, while the “buy and get” promotion remains valid while stocks last, encouraging Christmas shopping at the mall.
Hilton Barra offers exclusive holiday dinners
Known for its comfort and warm hospitality, Hilton Barra Rio de Janeiro invites guests and neighbors to celebrate Christmas and New Year’s Eve with carefully curated dinners and parties. Each event combines detailed décor, themed menus and entertainment.
On December 24, the stylish Abelardo Restaurante hosts the Christmas Eve Dinner from 8 p.m. to midnight. The menu includes traditional roast turkey, caramelized tender ham and buffalo mozzarella ravioli with walnuts, accompanied by a live jazz trio and an appearance by Santa Claus.
A 2025 highlight is the introduction of live cooking stations, where guests can watch the preparation of seafood rice with Spanish chorizo and chester stuffed with panko farofa. Prices start at R$ 715 per person, including service charges and beverages.
Christmas lunch, New Year’s Eve and feijoada
On December 25, Abelardo serves a Christmas lunch from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., priced at R$ 352 per person. The themed buffet features special salads, hot dishes and desserts such as traditional rabanadas, with Santa returning for another round of family fun.
New Year’s Eve takes place in the Bromélias Ballrooms, from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m., with a party inspired by the concept “The Light of Tomorrow”. Sensory décor with fabrics, lights and floral arrangements creates an ethereal setting to welcome 2026.
The buffet includes seafood dishes, cod brandade, shrimp bobó and a wide selection of desserts. Live cooking stations feature a whole roasted pork leg carved to order and lobster risotto with peas and grana padano. With a live band, DJ and fireworks, prices start at R$ 1,969 per person.
To start the year on a delicious note, Abelardo hosts the traditional New Year’s Feijoada on January 1, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., for R$ 352 per person. The event includes a samba band and an extensive buffet with roasted suckling pig station, salads, appetizers and desserts such as pudding, quindim and guava cheesecake.
Kids Club and special conditions
The hotel’s Kids Club will operate from December 24 to January 2, between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m., with extended hours on December 24 and 31. Monitors supervise activities such as drawing workshops, movie sessions, bowling and basketball games.
All events include service charges and both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Children aged 6 to 11 pay 50%, while those under 5 are complimentary. The hotel also offers special conditions for local residents, and prices are organized in tiers, subject to adjustment.
