Ciao debuts Ciao Voilá capsule collection with artist Kiolo

Ciao launches Ciao Voilá capsule with visual artist Kiolo, inspired by the French Riviera and classic French aesthetics.

Launch event in Salvador marks collaboration

Last Wednesday night (10), menswear brand Ciao for Men, at Salvador Shopping, hosted the launch of the Ciao Voilá collection. The cocktail event, catered by Nova Belles, gathered clients and guests to present the new prints. The capsule was developed in partnership with Bahian photographer, designer and visual artist Kiolo.

The creative process was inspired by the European summer on the Côte d’Azur, in the south of France. The region also served as the backdrop for Kiolo to photograph all the pieces. To celebrate the collab, two photographic works by the artist were installed in the store, turning the travel experience into a permanent part of the brand’s visual universe.

According to partner Felipe Torreão, the collaboration was born from his admiration for Kiolo’s work. Every year, the Ciao team travels to the European summer in search of references. During one of these trips, the idea arose to transform the experience into a fashion and art project.

Felipe says the result exceeded expectations and has been warmly received by customers. Early demand in stores already suggests that the capsule may sell out soon. The partnership reinforces Ciao’s positioning in the premium menswear segment.

Prints rooted in French-inspired visuals

With Italian design and Brazilian manufacturing, Ciao introduced a capsule made up of five beach shorts and five T-shirts created with Kiolo. Each print was based on elements that built the visual identity of the trip that inspired the collab. The collection highlights creative reinterpretations and classic references from French aesthetics.

The artist explains that the creative process began with references that guided patterns, geometries and motifs. Among the models, the darker short draws on nautical ropes and knots. The more vibrant Soler pays tribute to French beach clubs, with patterns inspired by repeating umbrellas.

The 35mm model, in red and neon tones, references old photographic films. “From a distance, it looks like a wave pattern, but up close you see the negatives of vintage cameras,” says Kiolo. The concept plays with perception and visual memory.

Minimalist takes on iconic patterns

French references also appear in other pieces in the capsule. The Frisson short offers a minimalist reinterpretation of the classic Pied de Poule pattern. In this way, the design translates a timeless motif into a cleaner, more contemporary language.

Another highlight is the blue-and-white print inspired by Jean-Paul Gaultier’s iconic stripes. “We created a more discreet version that, up close, reveals the blue and white, but from afar looks like a simple light-blue summer short,” explains the artist. The result balances subtlety and identity.

All pieces from the Ciao Voilá capsule are already available at Ciao stores in Recife, Fortaleza, Maceió, João Pessoa and Salvador. The launch strengthens the brand’s presence across key cities in northeastern Brazil. The summer season should further drive interest in the collection.
