Fairmont Copacabana hosts the launch of “Rio de Janeiro Melhores Eventos e Homenagens”, gathering 16 coauthors and over 180 guests.
The Fairmont Copacabana once again became a cultural hub by hosting the launch of the book “Rio de Janeiro Melhores Eventos e Homenagens”, published by Quiça Books. The event filled the Copacabana ballroom and brought together prominent figures from Rio’s social, cultural and diplomatic circles.
Guests were welcomed by the iconic performer Isabelita dos Patins and enjoyed a refined vin d’honneur, featuring a table of pastas and breads paired with sparkling wine and Portuguese wines. In this way, the reception helped set an elegant and festive tone for the evening.

The book is coordinated by Bayard Boiteux and Matheus Oliveira and features contributions from 16 coauthors. Among them are Márcia Melchior, Sonia Baggetti, Rosane Palha, singer Hanna, Viviane Fernandes, Alana Morgana, Patrick Sabatier, Jesus Abreu and Alex Gonçalves, all connected to events, culture and communication.
The work also includes texts by the Consul General of the Dominican Republic, Roberto Rúbio, and the Consul General of Mexico, Hector Valezzi. Completing the list are Maurício Diniz, Ana Cristina Carvalho, Sylvia Faillace, Luiz Otávio Pinheiro and Netto Moreira, underscoring the book’s diverse and international outlook.
Over 180 guests at Copacabana ballroom
The launch was coordinated by Ascom Divulga Rio and drew more than 180 guests to the Copacabana ballroom. Thus, the Fairmont reinforced its role as a prime venue for cultural and social events that highlight the best of Rio de Janeiro.
According to the organizers, the evening added another chapter to the hotel’s close relationship with the city’s events and tribute scene. Photographs taken by Messias Martins capture the guests and the atmosphere of celebration, helping to document and preserve the memory of the occasion.
