Palácio Avenida Christmas show draws over 70,000 people

35th Palácio Avenida Christmas edition gathers over 70,000 people on the first weekend, with a magical show in Curitiba.

A magical Christmas palace in Curitiba

In December 2025, Bradesco’s traditional Palácio Avenida Christmas show once again charmed Curitiba. According to Military Police estimates, more than 70,000 people attended the performances held on 5 (dress rehearsal), 6 and 7 December, filling the streets around the historic building.

With the theme “The Magical Christmas Palace”, the audience was invited to revisit childhood memories and rediscover a sense of wonder. The iconic façade of Palácio Avenida was turned into a large open-air stage, reinforcing the emotional connection of the city with the event.

The 35th edition confirms the show as one of Curitiba’s main Christmas attractions. In this way, the project brings together families and visitors around music, lights and storytelling, strengthening the city’s end-of-year cultural calendar.

Children’s choir and emotional repertoire

The show lasts around 45 minutes and features a choir of 90 children aged 7 to 12. They perform a 12-song repertoire divided into nine segments, combining new arrangements with songs that are already audience favourites.

The setlist includes tracks presented for the first time in the spectacle, such as “Era Uma Vez” (Kell Smith) and “Vou Deixar” (Skank). These titles appear alongside classics like “Aquarela” (Toquinho) and “Natal Todo Dia” (Roupa Nova), which help create a nostalgic and festive atmosphere.

The mix of contemporary and traditional songs bridges generations in the audience. As a result, children and adults share the same emotional experience, guided by music, visual effects and the narrative built across each block of the show.

Over 105,000 lights and efficient technology

The experience gains extra impact from an extensive lighting design project. More than 105,000 lights, including micro LEDs and scenic fixtures, were installed to transform the building into a dynamic, illuminated backdrop synchronized with the music.

The entire structure uses low-consumption technology, capable of reducing energy use by up to 80%. In addition, the system is managed by intelligent controllers with sensors and timers that adjust brightness according to changes in natural light.

This combination of efficiency and spectacle reinforces the event’s commitment to sustainability. At the same time, it ensures a striking visual experience, helping to cement Palácio Avenida’s Christmas show as a visual landmark of the season in Curitiba.

Livestream brings the show to all of Brazil

The official opening night, held on Saturday, 6 December, was broadcast live on the Teatro Bradesco YouTube channel. The livestream was accompanied by the special program “Entre Cenas”, which offered exclusive behind-the-scenes content to viewers across the country.

For those who could not attend in person or watch the live broadcast, the show remains available online until 30 January 2026. This extended access allows audiences from different regions to experience the performance and revisit the Christmas atmosphere created in Curitiba.

By combining a live audience with digital transmission, the Palácio Avenida Christmas project expands its reach beyond the city centre. Thus, the event strengthens its position as a nationally relevant cultural initiative.

Accessibility at the heart of the experience

Reaffirming its commitment to accessibility, the event offers Brazilian Sign Language (Libras) interpretation, audio description and specialised staff to support people with disabilities. These resources ensure that more viewers can fully enjoy the show.

The accessible features help audiences follow the storyline, songs and scenic elements with autonomy. In this way, the Palácio Avenida Christmas show aligns with best practices in inclusive cultural programming and widens its social impact.

By bringing together tradition, technology, sustainability and inclusion, the 35th Palácio Avenida Christmas edition reaffirms the project as a symbol of enchantment and hope. The show once again positions Curitiba as a reference in Christmas celebrations for audiences throughout Brazil.
