TV host Márcia Goldschmidt leaves MasterChef Celebrities after a risky strawberry ceviche, but celebrates her protagonism and emotional return to Band.
Strawberry ceviche fails to impress
Tuesday night’s episode (2) ended with Márcia’s elimination from the competition. She chose to innovate by adding strawberries to a ceviche paired with sparkling wine.
The idea, however, did not convince judges Helena Rizzo, Henrique Fogaça and Erick Jacquin. The French chef even said the dish looked more like a fruit salad than a classic ceviche.
Calm reaction and sense of protagonism
In an interview with Band’s website, Márcia said she accepted the result calmly. She noted that the format naturally leads contestants to either win or leave at some point.
“I think it’s part of the game. You either win or lose and, at some point, you leave. Only one will stay, so I’m at peace,” she said.
Despite the early farewell, she believes she stood out in the episodes aired so far. According to Márcia, she was often targeted and pushed into the spotlight, which reinforced her protagonism.
Relationship with the judges
Márcia mentioned that the toughest scoldings came from Erick Jacquin. On the other hand, she described Helena Rizzo as very kind and highlighted Henrique Fogaça’s support and trust.
She also explained that joining the show allowed her to reveal a different side of herself. Known as a serious communicator and mediator, she wanted to show her playful, humorous personality.
Emotional return to Band
Returning to Band stirred strong emotions, since she built much of her career there. Walking through the corridors, Márcia said she met old friends and felt genuinely welcomed.
Although she is not currently hosting a TV show, Márcia remains close to her audience online. This way, she keeps engaging with fans and sharing content on digital platforms.
