Juma Hotels joins BLTA, elevating Amazon luxury travel profile

Juma Hotels joins the Brazilian Luxury Travel Association (BLTA), strengthening Juma Amazon Lodge and Juma Ópera Hotel in the luxury segment and spotlighting the Green Key sustainability seal in the Amazon.

Amazon region gains visibility in luxury tourism

Few properties embody the Amazon’s essence as clearly as Juma Hotels, which has just been accepted into BLTA. The association brings together Brazil’s leading luxury travel players. It highlights brands that excel in hospitality, authenticity and sustainable practices.

Membership reinforces Juma Amazon Lodge and Juma Ópera Hotel as benchmarks in high-end hospitality. Both properties combine comfort and environmental responsibility with a genuine connection to the rainforest. As a result, the Amazon consolidates its status as a desirable luxury destination.

Recognition after 25 years in the Amazon

Director Caio Fonseca explains that the group’s mission has always been to present the Amazon authentically. Joining BLTA is seen as recognition of the strength of the Juma brand. It also reinforces the message that, when respected, the forest can be the stage for truly Brazilian hospitality.

Fonseca notes that the milestone comes after 25 years dedicated to offering unique experiences in the region. BLTA membership expands both hotels’ presence in national and international markets. It also opens doors to strategic partnerships in the luxury travel ecosystem.

Juma Amazon Lodge stands out as the first jungle hotel in the Americas to earn the international Green Key label. The certification underscores the group’s commitment to responsible tourism. It adds further credibility to the lodge’s immersive, low-impact proposal.

Juma Ópera: boutique charm facing the Amazon Theatre

Opened on February 2, 2020, Juma Ópera is a high-end boutique hotel in downtown Manaus. Located directly across from the Amazon Theatre and close to major attractions, it offers a privileged setting. Many of its 41 rooms have postcard views of the historic landmark.

The hotel features a restaurant, bar, spa, gym, event space and a rooftop with pool. Together, these amenities deliver a complete experience that blends comfort, sophistication and Amazonian hospitality. The design highlights local identity while embracing contemporary touches.

Throughout the year, Juma Ópera also hosts social and corporate events. Versatile areas, including a hall and courtyard, total 320 m² and accommodate up to 200 guests. The venue is ideal for conferences, meetings, cocktail receptions and celebrations.

Juma Amazon Lodge: deep immersion in preserved rainforest

Located about 100 km southeast of Manaus, Juma Amazon Lodge sits within 7,000 hectares of fully preserved land. The property offers a deep immersion in the Amazon rainforest. Its 20 stilted bungalows create a unique, authentic connection with nature.

The lodge includes a natural pool, a restaurant focused on regional cuisine and a hammock area for relaxation. A standout feature is the 31-meter observation tower, which rises to the canopy level. Expert guides lead activities and help guests interpret the forest’s ecosystem.

The use of solar energy and other sustainable measures reinforces Juma’s low-impact philosophy. The Green Key certification validates these efforts and positions the lodge as a reference in eco-friendly hospitality. In every detail, the forest remains the true protagonist of the experience.

Amazon as a transformative luxury destination

Through BLTA, Juma Hotels helps place the Amazon more firmly on the global luxury travel map. The group aims to attract guests in search of transformative, exclusive experiences. The mix of preserved nature, comfort and authenticity sets the properties apart.

Membership also strengthens ties with travel advisors and partners specialized in high-end itineraries. In parallel, it supports initiatives that promote local communities and environmental conservation. In this context, Juma Hotels consolidates its role as an ambassador for the Amazon in the luxury segment.
