CeraVe debuts Air Foam Rebalancing Cleanser with Glycolysine™ technology, 8h oil control and 24h hydration for combination skin.
Innovation tailored to combination skin
Combination skin is the most common skin type, affecting about 50% of the global population and one-third of Brazilians. It features an oily T-zone and drier cheeks, demanding balanced cleansing and hydration. As a result, it requires formulas that are gentle yet effective.
With this in mind, CeraVe, a brand developed with dermatologists, announces its biggest cleansing innovation in 20 years. The launch is the CeraVe Air Foam Rebalancing Cleansing Foam, which introduces exclusive Glycolysine™ Cleansing Technology. The product is designed specifically to meet the needs of combination skin.
“CeraVe Air Foam Rebalancing Cleanser reflects L’Oréal’s leadership in skin science and deep understanding of skin needs,” says Connie Avramis, Senior Vice President and Global Head of Cleansing and Hygiene Development at L’Oréal.
Glycolysine™ tech with long-lasting action
Developed over ten years in partnership with dermatologists, Glycolysine™ is presented as a breakthrough in cleansers. According to the brand, it delivers 8 hours of oil control and 24 hours of hydration, even after rinsing. Thus, it helps keep combination skin balanced for longer.
The formula contains CeraVe’s three bio-identical ceramides, which help support a healthier skin barrier. In addition, it removes excess sebum without stripping and aids moisture retention. In this way, it avoids the imbalance often caused by harsher cleansers.
The CeraVe Air Foam Rebalancing Cleanser is the result of a decade of research. The goal is to offer cleansing that is both gentle and effective, targeted to combination skin. The focus remains on performance without discomfort.
Ultra-light foam and “smart magnet” effect
With an ultra-light foam texture, Air Foam works like a “smart magnet” for impurities. It selectively removes oil, pollution, makeup, sunscreen and debris. Moreover, it does so without harsh rubbing and without leaving a tight feel.
The formula is enriched with three essential ceramides and allantoin, known for its soothing effect. As a result, the cleanser offers ultra-gentle yet effective cleansing, suitable even for sensitive skin. Comfort and efficacy are combined in a single step.
“Many patients mistakenly treat combination skin as fully oily or fully dry, disrupting its delicate hydration balance,” says dermatologist Heather Woolery-Lloyd.
For the expert, the ideal products remove excess oil from the T-zone without over-drying the rest of the face. That is why she recommends the new CeraVe Air Foam Rebalancing Cleanser to her patients. The formula addresses key concerns of people with combination skin, offering hydration and oil control.
Dermatologist-developed and clinically driven
“Like all CeraVe products, Air Foam Rebalancing Cleanser was developed with dermatologists, reflecting our unwavering commitment to therapeutic skincare for all,” says Tom Allison, Senior Vice President and U.S. Medical Director for CeraVe, La Roche-Posay and Vichy.
According to the executive, the cleanser represents a significant step forward in cleansing technology. Years of collaborative research, from initial concept and formulation to packaging and clinical trials, focused on the delicate needs of combination skin. Thus, the product seeks to balance cleansing, hydration and barrier support.
How to use: double cleansing routine
To enhance results, CeraVe suggests pairing Air Foam with the brand’s Hydrating Cleansing Oil. The oil helps remove more resistant impurities and provides immediate comfort. Then, the foam works to rebalance oiliness and deliver long-lasting hydration.
Together, the oil and foam create a practical double cleansing routine tailored to combination skin. In this way, cleansing happens in two complementary steps without compromising the skin barrier. The outcome is clean, balanced and comfortable skin.
The CeraVe Air Foam Rebalancing Cleanser is available on the brand’s website, in pharmacies and major e-commerce platforms across Brazil. The suggested retail price is R$ 109.90. The launch further expands CeraVe’s portfolio for combination skin needs.
