Flow Festival 2026 reveals Florence + The Machine and PinkPantheress

Flow Festival 2026 in Helsinki announces Florence + The Machine, PinkPantheress, Zara Larsson, Clipse, Nick Cave and more.

Flow Festival marks its 21st edition

Finland’s Flow Festival has unveiled the first artists for its 21st edition, taking place from 14 to 16 August 2026. Once again, the event will occupy selected venues in and around the iconic Suvilahti Power Plant in downtown Helsinki. In doing so, the festival continues its three-day celebration of contemporary pop culture.

The initial announcement brings together some of the most popular and boundary-pushing names in hip-hop, pop, rock, hardcore, techno and house. This diverse lineup underlines Flow’s role as a meeting point for scenes, styles and cultures. As a result, the festival remains a key reference in Europe’s summer circuit.

Florence + The Machine, Zara Larsson and PinkPantheress headline

At the top of the bill are Florence + The Machine and Zara Larsson, both regarded as generational icons and future classics. Florence returns to Flow with emotionally charged alt-rock that has inspired a wave of songwriters to embrace their individuality. Meanwhile, Sweden’s Zara Larsson brings polished pop that reflects a deep understanding of dance music history.

The 2026 edition also welcomes London’s PinkPantheress, making her Flow debut after dominating 2025 with the viral single “Illegal”. The track, rich in UK garage and hardcore continuum references, confirmed her status as an artist perfectly in tune with the zeitgeist. On the other side of the Atlantic, New York’s Sombr emerges from bedroom pop as a powerful generational songwriter.

Sombr’s project I Barely Know Her merges confessional Gen-Z ennui with euphoric hooks inspired by new wave, disco and glam rock. This combination of introspection and immediacy illustrates Flow’s taste for risk-taking pop. Thus, the festival highlights artists who are reshaping mainstream sound from the inside.

Clipse reunion and Nick Cave’s acclaimed live show

The starting lineup also features the long-awaited reunion of Clipse, the influential duo formed by Pusha T and Malice. Known for their stripped-back, gritty “coke-rap”, they helped shape sub-genres from Atlanta trap to UK drill. Fifteen years after their last studio release, the brothers return with Let God Sort ’Em Out, produced by long-term collaborator Pharrell.

Another major highlight is Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, who stop in Helsinki after two years touring their acclaimed album Wild God. The group, which includes Radiohead bassist Colin Greenwood and Cave’s creative foil Warren Ellis, will perform material from over four decades. In this way, the band offers a sweeping live soundtrack to a rapidly changing world.

In a time of global division, the 2026 lineup also underlines the unifying power of righteous anger. The explosive hardcore of Turnstile can turn even the biggest stages into intimate, inclusive mosh pits worthy of Minor Threat or Youth of Today. At the same time, Lambrini Girls channel the “girls to the front” ethos of punk, echoing The Slits, Peaches and the Riot Grrrl movement.

Electronic highlights: KETTAMA, Honey Dijon and Oklou

Electronic and dance music, today’s dominant global sound, also has a strong presence in this first announcement. Ireland’s hard-techno figurehead KETTAMA arrives riding the momentum of his recent collaboration with Fred Again... In parallel, French artist Oklou stands out as a genre outlier, combining refined songwriting with bold production on releases such as Choke Enough.

DJ, producer and cultural figure Honey Dijon promises a masterclass in the Black, queer roots of club culture. Her set is expected to move fluidly between house and disco classics and tougher, Chicago-inflected techno sounds. Therefore, Flow reinforces the connection between dance music heritage and contemporary experimentation.

From Naples, Nu Genea Live Band brings to the stage an ongoing exploration of African musical influences on the city’s sound. Their explosive live show enhances the organic, groove-driven feel of their productions. Overall, these acts strengthen Flow Festival’s reputation as a key stop for global electronic talent.

Finnish scene embraces genre fluidity

Helsinki has long been a crossroads of cultures, and the Finnish names on the bill reflect this open-mindedness. Local highlights for 2026 include neo-pop singer Vesta and alt-rock revivalists Pearly Drops. Together, they showcase a national scene that moves comfortably between mainstream appeal and underground experimentation.

The domestic lineup also features avant-pop artist Olga, whose work blends Euro dance and rap, and the emo-trap of louna0nline. Folk legend J. Karjalainen joins breakout acts such as Jaakko Kulta and Arppa 8-pack. As a result, it is clear that no genre is off limits in a city that treats difference as a strength.
