Mastercard and L’Oréal launch BusinessCard for beauty sector

Mastercard and L’Oréal partnership launches exclusive card for beauty professionals, boosting financial inclusion and supporting entrepreneurs in Latin America.

Mastercard and L’Oréal have announced a strategic partnership across Latin America and the Caribbean to empower thousands of beauty professionals with the launch of the L’Oréal Mastercard BusinessCard. The initiative aims to accelerate digitalization, expand access to credit and drive the growth of small businesses.

Launch in Mexico and regional expansion

The card debuts in Mexico, issued by Clara, a leader in corporate expense management. It is the first credit card designed specifically for the beauty sector, targeting salon owners, independent hairstylists, beauty creators and distributors within L’Oréal’s professional network.

Expansion to other Latin American and Caribbean markets is planned, reinforcing the initiative’s regional scope and economic relevance.

Digital transformation and financial inclusion

With 90% of B2B payments still made in cash, checks or bank transfers, the beauty sector faces limitations in efficiency and security. The new card simplifies financial processes and enables broader participation in the digital economy.

“Small and medium-sized enterprises are the heart of the Latin American economy, and this partnership marks a significant step forward for millions of entrepreneurs,” says Walter Pimenta, Executive Vice President at Mastercard Latin America.

Benefits and integrated solutions

The L’Oréal Mastercard BusinessCard offers rewards, discounts, welcome bonuses and access to training programs such as L’Oréal Academy. Integration with Clara’s platform provides real-time expense management and AI-powered insights for better financial control.

Together, Mastercard, L’Oréal and Clara are removing barriers and transforming financial access into a growth engine for the beauty sector across the region.
