H&M confirms new store at Norte Shopping and expands its Brazil growth plan with openings scheduled for 2026.
H&M has announced the opening of its second store in Rio de Janeiro, located at Norte Shopping. The new unit becomes part of the brand’s expansion strategy in Brazil and joins four other stores already confirmed for 2026, in Sorocaba, Porto Alegre and RioSul Shopping, also in Rio de Janeiro.
Strategic expansion and partnership with Allos
The Norte Shopping store also represents the second confirmed project in partnership with Allos, following the successful opening at Parque Dom Pedro, in Campinas, this October. The expansion reinforces H&M’s commitment to strengthening its presence in the Brazilian retail market.
“We are closing the year with great enthusiasm as we confirm another store in Brazil for 2026, reinforcing our commitment to solid expansion. We are pleased to further expand our presence in Rio de Janeiro, strengthening our mission to democratize fashion for all. Our goal is to deliver fashion and quality at the best price, in a sustainable way, to even more people across the country,” says Joaquim Pereira, Country Manager of H&M Brazil.
Continuous growth in Brazil
In 2025, H&M’s arrival in Brazil was marked by the opening of four stores: Iguatemi São Paulo, Shopping Anália Franco, Parque Dom Pedro in Campinas and Morumbi Shopping, opened in November. These launches highlight the brand’s strategy to expand its footprint in major Brazilian cities.
For 2026, in addition to the new Norte Shopping unit, stores are confirmed at Iguatemi Esplanada in Sorocaba, RioSul Shopping in Rio de Janeiro, Iguatemi Porto Alegre and Shopping Praia de Belas, representing H&M’s entry into southern Brazil.
