JO&JOE Rio resumes its Sunday carnival block rehearsal program starting November 30 with live performances.
The festive mood is already spreading across Rio de Janeiro. JO&JOE Rio, known for hosting traditional carnival block rehearsals, is restarting its special program and warming up the tambourines every Sunday with music and celebration by the pool.
Opening with an all-female block
On November 30, from 2pm to 9pm, the venue welcomes Balanço Zona Sul. Formed entirely by female percussionists, the block is recognized for blending Brazilian rhythms such as pop, axé, pagode, forró and funk.
The initiative reinforces JO&JOE’s role as a cultural hub in the city, anticipating the carnival spirit with inclusive and lively programming.
December schedule
The program continues on December 7 with Empolgas a 9 and Dinos. On December 14, it will be the turn of Nosso Bloco, and on December 21, Balanço Zona Sul returns for another performance.
Tickets start at R$ 25 and are available on the Sympla platform.
